Support tools

  • Sitecore Support recommends the following tools for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading Sitecore solutions.
  • Analytics Database Manager (ADM)

The ADM cleans up the Analytics database, rebuilds the database indexes, creates a backup of the analytics data, and synchronizes the Analytics Definitions to replace the Analytics database with an empty one.

    Sitecore Support Package Generator (SSPG)

Sitecore customers and partners often need to provide various information about their solutions' configuration to Sitecore Product Support Services while they investigate support tickets. Adding a ZIP package to your support ticket will improve the time it takes to resolve the issue.

This tool helps you to organize your Sitecore configuration files into a single file - showconfig.xml or web.config.result.xml. This makes it easier for support engineers to compare your settings with the standard settings and identify differences and potential causes of the problem. It can also normalize these files to sort the settings in the same way as it is done by the Sitecore.Kernel.dll during runtime.
